Dr. Donald E. Greydanus

Donald E. Greydanus MD, Dr HC (ATHENS), FAAP, FIAP (H) is Professor and Founding Chair, Department of Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine at the Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine (Kalamazoo, Michigan USA). Professor Donald E. Greydanus is a 2017 Mayo Clinic Distinguished Alumnus and an honorary fellow in the Indian Academy of Pediatrics. He is also Clinical Professor of Pediatrics and Human Development at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine (East Lansing, Michigan, USA) and a former Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at the Univerity of Iowa School of Medicine (Iowa City, Iowa, USA). He was elected a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine (East Lansing, Michigan).
Dr. Greydanus is a former Chair of the National Conference & Exhibitions (NCE) for the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and a former Director of Publications for the Society for Adolescent Health & Medicine (SAHM). He is an international leading expert in adolescent & young adult medicine who has published numerous scientific papers and books as well as received many national/international awards for his work. Dr. Greydanus received the 1995 Adele Dellenbaugh Hofmann Award from the American Academy of Pediatrics for “Distinguished Contributions in the Field of Adolescent Health.” In 2010 he received the Society for Adolescent Medicine (SAHM)’s Outstanding Achievement in Adolescent Medicine award; also in 2010, he was honored with the University of Athens (Greece) honorary doctorate degree (Doctor Honoris Causa) for “Distinguished Academic Achievements in Medicine.” This is the award of highest distinction at the University of Athens, Greece.
